One of the interesting aspects of the Hospital are the tunnels under the cottages.

The tunnels connected all the buildings of the Psychiatric Hospital.  The tunnels provided access for staff, a way of moving food and equipment around, and a way to move patients between buildings when required.

Normally access to the tunnels are limited to staff members of Humber College.  The College will allow some tours of the tunnels during the year through the Lakeshore Interpretative Centre.  Please note that the owner of this website cannot grant, or arrange, any tours of the tunnel system.
